Recoleta Cemetery
Recoleta Cemetry is one of the most prestigious addresses in the world for resting in peace. Many of mausoleums seem like miniture churches. The statues of the angles were my favorite. These statues are so well sculpted they look as if they could come to life and take flight.
The most famous resident of the cemetary is Eva Peron. I had assumed her mausoleum would be easy find by just looking for a flock of tourists but it's tucked away and the day I visted, there was no hoard to make it easy to find.
La Boca
La Boca is famous for its brightly colored buildings. The neighborhood is one of serveral that claims to have invented the tango.
More La Boca
The tourist part of the La Boca has the buildings in the best shape. Wandering a few blocks from the hoardes of vistors reveals a more dilapated neighborhood but one that's probably more true to how La Boca looked before it becamea tourist attraction.
Street Tango
Many of the restaurants in La Boca put on Tango shows. Often the performers will dance in front of their restaraunt to help bring in vistors.
Graffiti
I surprised to find some graffiti in English.
